Ronda Rousey got beaten to a bloody pulp this week and Stone Cold Steve Austin loved it.

The former UFC star received the biggest beating of her WWE career and Charlotte Flair was disqualified in a dramatic Survivor Series showdown match.

WWE commentators declared Flair “completely lost it” after she attacked Rousey outside the ring with a kendo stick beating that left the former UFC champion a shell-shocked mess.

In a match that’s been labelled the most brutal of Rousey’s WWE career, the former bantamweight champion needed to be helped from the ring after she was repeatedly hit with the kendo stick despite lying lifelessly on the mat.

And Austin loved every second of it.

“That was my favourite match of the night. Not just the match, but the aftermath with the kendo stick, just the beatdown. The ‘Pillmanizing’ with the chair on Ronda’s head,” he said on the Steve Austin Show.

“There were some mixed reviews about this match. Some people said, there were a couple of things that were sloppy in this match. Bulls***. That was a badass, tough a** match. It reminded me a lot of something you would have seen in the Attitude Era.

“Two badass women. Charlotte really stepped up her game with the intensity level and went full bore. And Ronda Rousey knows she’s tough as nails. The style they worked, everything was snug as s***.

“It told a great story. I just loved it.

“When I think pro wrestling; this is what I would expect to see.”

Despite being disqualified, Flair continued to bash Rousey, sparking outrage from the WWE commentary team.

“She ought to be arrested,” one commentator said of Flair. “This is assault. This is not something you ever want to see in sports entertainment. It was heinous.”

Another commentator speculated that Rousey may suffer permanent damage after Flair executed a savage chair choke on WWE’s helpless new champion.

“She was helpless,” the commentator said. “She was in a catatonic state. I don’t think she even had a clue what was going on. She’ll be lucky if she doesn’t have permanent damage.”

Flair was eventually forced out of the ring after fighting off up to five umpires that flooded into the ring to try to save Rousey.

The Kendo sticks were just the tip of the iceberg in the house of pain Flair inflicted on Rousey during the match.

Rousey’s mouth was left bloodied when she took a tumble right at the moment Flair had moved to push her into the corner ropes.

Rousey’s mouth ended up smacking into the corner guards.

The blood around the champion’s mouth continued to flow minutes later as Flair landed a clean elbow to Rousey’s mouth.

Rousey was then lucky to avoid being counted out as Flair executed a painful Boston crab hold which left Rousey howling in pain.

The dramatic result has set the UFC up for another main event rematch between the pair.

However, there are real concerns for Rousey’s immediate future — both for her health and her tumbling popularity.

Rousey was booed by fans at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles before and after her match.

Even as she lied down lifeless in the ring, a chorus of boos filled the arena.
